How much will be paid?

At present, admission assistance is provided at the rate of Tk 5,000 at the secondary level, Tk 8,000 at the higher secondary level, and Tk 10,000 at the graduate and equivalent level.
Data Inclusion and Data Entry Rules 2024
- A number of guidelines are given for entering student data. These include that the same account number or mobile number cannot be used against multiple students, and the same account number or mobile number can only be used against one student. The student’s birth certificate number must be 17 digits. The national identity card number (10 or 17 digits) of the father, mother, or guardian must be entered. In the case of a 13-digit national identity card, the year of birth should be converted to 17 digits first.
Any valid or active online banking or mobile banking account should be used to receive the student’s stipend money. The guardian of the student will be a father or mother. Only in the absence of parents can any other person (brother, sister, grandfather, grandmother, etc.) be selected as guardian.
- If the father is selected as a guardian during data entry, the account should be opened using the father’s national identity card, and the father’s name should be entered as the guardian’s name and the account holder’s name.
- If the mother is selected as the guardian, the account should be opened using the mother’s national identity card, and the mother’s name should be entered as the guardian’s name and the account holder’s name. If any other person is selected as a guardian in the absence of a parent, the account should be opened using his national identity card, and his name should be entered as the name of the guardian and account holder.
- In the case of school banking or agent banking, in whose name the account is opened, the name of the account holder should be entered.

Pay free for Upobritti students
- Scholarship students studying in government and private educational institutions will have a tuition fee or salary waiver (free).
- The tuition fee or salary will be paid as per the scheme documents in favor of scholarship students to private educational institutions.
- No tuition fees or salary can be collected from scholarship students.
How students will be selected for the scholarship: Upobritti Application Form
- Students must first apply to get the scholarship.
- Students will be selected for the scholarship through a combination of poverty and proxy means testing, data verification at the institutional level and specialized software.Only students in classes VI and I can apply for the scholarship under this program.
- However, Class IX students who are newly admitted after passing Class VIII from educational institutions outside the scholarship program can apply for the scholarship. However, no student in Class IX can apply for the scholarship at his educational institution.
- A student receiving a stipend or parental education allowance from any other government source will not be considered eligible for the stipend. Apart from this, meritorious or general scholarship students will be considered ineligible to receive the scholarship from the Board of Education.
- The Institutional and Upazila or Metropolitan Area Advisory Committee, will verify the authenticity of the student’s application information. After verifying the information on the application form, this information should be entered into the HSP-MIS at the institution level. After the information entry, the information should be sent online from the institution to the Upazila or Thana Secondary Education Officer.
- Upazila and Thana Secondary Education Officer will submit all applications sent to Upazila and Thana for the stipend to the Upazila and Metropolitan Area Advisory Committee for consideration, and with the approval of the Advisory Committee, will send the information of the selected students from Upazila and Thana to the HSP and Prime Minister’s Education Support.
- Scholarship beneficiary students across the country will be selected centrally through the HSP Unit with technical support from the MIS Cell of the Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust Office.
